A well-established accountancy practice based in Middleton is looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone with practice experience who enjoys working with a varied client portfolio and values flexibility in their working pattern.

Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
- Assisting with bookkeeping and VAT returns
- Supporting the preparation of management accounts
- Liaising with clients to gather financial information and resolve queries
- Maintaining accurate financial records using Xero
- Assisting senior staff with ad hoc accounting tasks
Requirements
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
- Strong working knowledge of Xero (essential)
- Good understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
- AAT qualified or studying (or equivalent experience)
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Confident communicator with a client-focused approach
