Finance Associate – Analysis & Development Finance

April 22, 2026
£35000 - £40000 / year

Job Description

A high-growth residential property developer and investor is looking to appoint a commercially minded Finance Associate to support the financial analysis and performance of its expanding development portfolio across the North West.

This is an opportunity to step into a role where your insight—not just your process—will directly influence funding decisions, project viability, and business growth.

The Opportunity

You’ll sit at the heart of the finance function, taking ownership of financial analysis across multiple live and pipeline developments. Working closely with senior stakeholders and lenders, you’ll provide the clarity and insight needed to drive informed decision-making in a fast-scaling environment.

This is ideal for someone who enjoys getting under the skin of numbers, building models, and translating financial data into meaningful commercial insight.

What’s on Offer

  • £35,000 – £40,000 salary
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Pension contribution
  • Hybrid working (including 1 day from home)
  • Clear progression as the business continues to scale
  • High exposure to senior decision-makers

The Role

You’ll play a key role in analysing funding structures, monitoring financial performance, and ensuring the integrity of project appraisals across the portfolio.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading financial tracking and analysis across multiple development projects and SPVs
  • Producing and enhancing project appraisals, stress-testing assumptions and identifying risks/opportunities
  • Monitoring loan performance and financial covenants (ICR, LTV), providing forward-looking insights rather than just reporting
  • Building and maintaining robust financial models, trackers, and dashboards to support decision-making
  • Delivering a weekly loan book and funding analysis, highlighting trends, risks, and key movements
  • Supporting debt processes with a strong analytical lens—ensuring structures align with project viability
  • Acting as a key contact for lenders, presenting clear and well-structured financial information
  • Continuously improving financial systems and reporting to increase accuracy, efficiency, and insight

What You’ll Bring

  • At least 2 years’ experience in finance, banking, or property finance
  • Strong analytical capability with experience building models, appraisals, or financial trackers
  • Advanced Excel skills (comfortable creating models from scratch)
  • Understanding of development finance, lending structures, or real estate (preferred)
  • Ability to interpret complex financial data and turn it into clear, actionable insight
  • A proactive mindset with the confidence to challenge assumptions and flag risks early

What Sets You Apart

  • You think beyond the numbers—focusing on what they mean, not just what they show
  • You naturally improve and build systems that enhance visibility and decision-making
  • You’re commercially aware and interested in how finance drives development outcomes
  • You’re comfortable working across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Why Apply?

This isn’t a back-office finance role. You’ll be actively involved in shaping how projects are funded, tracked, and delivered—giving you real exposure to the commercial engine of a growing property business.

If you’re looking for a role where analysis, insight, and impact are front and centre, this is a strong next step.
