Senior Finance Officer – Remote

ALF Recruit is partnering with a multi-entity professional services group operating across the UK and internationally. With an entrepreneurial and collaborative culture, they’re looking for a proactive Finance Lead to manage a high-volume, hands-on finance function while supporting senior leadership with strategic oversight.

The Role:
This is a broad, hands-on finance role covering multiple group entities. You’ll be responsible for:
- Managing high-volume transactional finance including multiple bank reconciliations, posting journals, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparing management information including P&L reports, cashflow forecasts, and ad hoc financial analysis
- Handling intercompany recharges, loan balances, and VAT returns
- Supporting senior leadership with cash flow reporting, cost analysis, and decision-making
- Overseeing payroll-related processes, contractor timesheets, and invoicing
You will be the go-to person for finance, owning the process end-to-end and ensuring accuracy across all activities.
Who we’re looking for:
- Part-qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA or QBE, or experienced Finance Lead / Manager
- Proven experience across broad finance responsibilities in SMEs, start-ups, or professional services
- Strong IT skills, Xero experience is a must.
- Comfortable working independently, taking ownership, and thriving in a fast-paced, growing SME environment
- A practical, hands-on approach rather than relying on formal structures
