ALF are proud to be working with a well-established business in the Bury area looking for an experience purchase ledger clerk to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous Accounts Payable or Purchase Ledger experience who thrives working in a busy, fast-paced environment.
This role will be fully office based Monday-Friday (8.30-5pm)

The Role:
Reporting to the AP Manager, you will play an important role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the Purchase Ledger Function while supporting the wide finance team across:
- Processing Supplier Invoices and Credit Notes
- Matching Invoices against Purchase Orders/Good Received Documentation and investigating Discrepancies
- Supporting Month-End Activities
- Supplier Relationship Management including Supplier Query Management
- Maintaining AP Inbox
- Reconcile Supplier Statements and Maintenance of Financial Records
What we are looking for:
We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive, and enjoys working with high volumes of financial transactions. Ideally you’ll have:
- 2 years experience or more within Accounts Payable / Purchase Ledger
- Previous experience using Finance Systems and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail
- Can prioritise workload within a fast moving environment
- Strong communicator
