We’re partnering with a well-established and growing SME in Rochdale to recruit a hands-on Finance Manager for a pivotal standalone role within the business.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys taking full ownership of the finance function, working closely with senior leadership, and being at the heart of commercial decision-making.

The Role
As Finance Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the finance function, ensuring accurate reporting and smooth financial operations. You’ll work alongside an external bookkeeper and report directly to the Finance Director, who is predominantly off-site—so confidence and independence in your role are key.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the day-to-day finance operations
- Preparing and overseeing month-end processes
- Posting journals and maintaining accurate financial records
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Producing management reports and supporting business insight
- VAT returns and compliance
- Liaising with external advisors where required
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes

- Has solid experience in a similar standalone or senior finance role
- Is confident managing month-end processes independently
- Has strong reconciliation and reporting skills

- Enjoys being hands-on and embedded in the business
