ALF Recruit are proud to be working with a great local business who is looking for a Credit Controller to join a growing finance team in Rochdale. This opportunity is open to both Junior and Senior Credit Controllers, making it ideal whether you’re looking to take the next step in your career or bring your established skills into a new and supportive environment.
This role is fully office based in Rochdale, with an early finish Friday!
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively chase outstanding debt via phone and email.
- Accurately allocate and reconcile customer payments.
- Monitor accounts and ensure credit limits are followed.
- Resolve invoice and payment queries, working with customers and internal teams.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Assist with month-end processes and reporting.
- Escalate overdue/problem accounts to minimise financial risk.
- Support the wider finance team with ad-hoc tasks when required.
About You
- Experience within Credit Control – must have a minimum of 1 years’ experience in Credit Control
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, confident handling customer queries.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting systems – VLOOKUPS AND PIVOT TABLES ARE A MUST
- Attention to detail and accuracy when processing data.
- Proactive, positive, and eager to contribute to the team’s success.

- Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 DOE.
