Client Accountant | £30,000 – £36,000 DOE | Full Time, Office Based
ALF Recruit is delighted to be partnering exclusively with a long-established and independent firm of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors, to recruit an experienced Accountant / Bookkeeper into their growing team.

This is a great role for a qualified-by-experience accountant, someone who is part qualified or an experienced bookkeeper who wants the variety of practice life and the autonomy to manage their own portfolio, within a firm that values capability over corporate process.
What you’ll be doing
- Bookkeeping and accounts preparation across a varied portfolio of clients
- VAT returns and management accounts
- Year-end accounts preparation
- Liaising directly with clients and managing your own relationships
- Working closely with senior team members and partners on more complex assignments
What we’re looking for
- Solid practice accounts or bookkeeping experience, confident across the full bookkeeping cycle
- Qualified by experience, or holding a relevant qualification – ACCA/ACA/AAT
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload
- Experience with cloud software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) a real plus
- Strong attention to detail and genuine pride in the quality of your work
- Someone who values being part of a close-knit team, not a number in a corporate structure
