ALF are proud to be working with a well-established and growing lender who specialising in Bridging and Development Finance, they have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Underwriter to join their team. The company already have an excellent reputation in the market and a strong pipeline and a consistently growing loanbook.
The role will be perfect for someone with previous Underwriting experience who looking to take full ownership of cases and contribute to the continued growth of the business.

Responsibilities:
Working closely with a range of Brokers, Solicitors and Internal teams to ensure deals are processed efficiently and within agreed service levels. This a fast-paced, hands-on role where attention to detail, decision making and strong communication are key.
- Assess / Underwrite Bridging Loan Applications in line with Company Policy and Lending Criteria
- Conduct Detailed Due Diligence – including Reviewing Valuations / Credit Searches / and Legal Documentation
- Work Closely with Business Development Managers to evaluate new cases and ensure suitability
- Prepare detailed Lending Recommendations
- Liaise with Solicitors, Brokers and Valuers to ensure smooth Case Progression
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all activity complies with regulatory requirements
- Support continuous improvements in Underwriting Processes
What we are looking for:
- Previous experience in underwriting ideally within Bridging or Development Finance
- Strong understanding of Property Lending / Risk Assessment and Due Diligence
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines
- Confident communication with the ability to build strong relationships
