ALF are proud to be working with a growing and forward-thinking Accounting Firm who are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with clients, managing varied workloads, and being part of a supportive and collaborative team environment.
The role offers a mixture of Hybrid Working, Client Visits, and office-based work, providing flexibility and variety within the position.

Role:
You will work across team of Bookkeepers, and manage your own portfolio of Clients mainly across SME businesses, you will be responsible for end-to-end Bookkeeping duties for each client.
- Preparing and Submitting VAT Returns
- Posting Journals, Accruals, and Prepayments
- Working through to Trial Balance
- Bank Reconciliations and Ledger Management
- Supporting across Month-End Processes
- Liaising Directly with Clients and Building Strong Relationships
- Using Cloud-Based Accounting Software including Xero and Similar Systems
Profile:
- Previous experience working with a Bookkeeping Position – ideally within a Practice setting
- Strong understanding of VAT, Journals, Accruals, and Prepayments
- Experience working to Trial Balance
- AAT Qualified or studying towards AAT
- Good Accounting System knowledge ideally experience using Xero and confident on Excel
