About the Role
As Accounts Advisor, you’ll provide high-quality accounting and financial support to a varied client portfolio, helping them manage their finances and meet compliance obligations. You’ll prepare financial statements, management accounts and tax returns, while offering practical advice that supports clients’ business decisions and growth. You’ll be a key point of contact for your clients, building strong relationships and delivering a responsive, client-focused service.
Key Responsibilities
- Large bookkeeping jobs
- Training and reviewing juniors on small bookkeeping, VAT returns and sole trader jobs
- VAT return preparation on Xero
- Preparation of larger sole trader and partnership accounts
- Preparation of Limited Company accounts
- Preparation of Corporation Tax computations, including capital allowances
- Assisting on audit assignments and completing own audit sections
- Timely servicing of client requirements (within 3 months of year end)
- Supporting Managers, Associates and Directors in achieving KPI targets
- Mentoring, training and supporting junior team members
What We’re Looking For
- Moderate working knowledge of UK GAAP
- Good working knowledge of Personal Income Tax and dividends
- Studying towards (or willing to study) technical examinations
- Strong attention to detail and technical knowledge
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Confident presenting to and communicating with clients
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A proactive approach to business development and building client relationships
